John Harold Wilson was born in 1900 in Springfield, Ohio. He was an educator, teaching English at Ohio State University. He was also an author, whose titles which centered on England during the Restoration period include All the King`s Ladies: Actresses of the Restoration; The Private Life of Mr. Pepys, a biography of Samuel Pepys; and Mr. Goodman the Player, a book about Cardell Goodman and the British theater. He was the editor of Crowne's City Politiques and Six Restoration Plays. John Harold Wilson died August 28, 1981.
