Rabbi Talushkin’s reputation and appeal extend far beyond the Jewish community. His award-winning book Words That Hurt, Words That Heal teaches how and when to criticize, how to keep disagreements from becoming disasters, and the one technique that will prevent you, even when angry, from destroying relationships with words.
His engaging and amusing volume Jewish Humor: What the Best Jewish Jokes Say About the Jews appeals to readers of all faiths (or none) and provides a glimpse of the wit and wisdom he shares with live audiences. True to his calling, the Rabbi uses jokes, stories and parables to instruct as well as amuse. His other works include Jewish Wisdom, The Book of Jewish Values and two awarding-winning volumes of A Code of Jewish Ethics.
Books will be available for sale at the event and at aculturalexchange.org.
All writers & readers series programs are free and open to the public. Seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
