    About the Department
    TechCentral is an innovative technology and learning center providing services to Main Library and all 27 branch locations. located in the Lower Level of the Louis Stokes Wing of the Main Library. TechCentral offers a variety of computer and technology related services, including:

    Computer and Internet Access at Main Library
    Access one of nearly 90 computers in the TechCentral Computer Area  on the Lower Level of the Louis Stokes Wing of the Main Library. All computers are equipped with Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, WinWay Resume Creator, and Rapid Typing Tutor. Adaptive Technology Stations equipped with Jaws, ZoomText, and Sorenson Video Relay service are also available.

    Family and Group Workstations, as well as collaborate work seating areas are available for teams and groups to work on projects. Wireless Internet access is available throughout Main Library, with convenient power outlets located in TechCentral.

    TechCentral MakerSpace 
    The TechCentral MakerSpace is a cutting-edge space equipped with industry standard technology and fabrication, equipment, and software, allowing you to turn your ideas into reality. 3D Printing and Scanning, Vinyl and Laser Fabrication, as well as Music, Audio, and Video production are all available in the MakerSpace.     Computer Instruction and One-on-One Assistance. Computer Lab
    Attend one of our free public computer classes held on a variety of computer and technology related topics.

    MakerLab Hands-on and Creative Programming
    Learn how to create something new by attending one of our MakerLab series programs available at Main Library and throughout our branches. From learning how to 3D print or creating your own unique font, to making duct tape wallets or digital abstract art, MakerLabs are a great way to be creative and ‘make’ something new.     3D Printing
    This innovative new technology allows users to create objects in three dimensions using a plastic ‘ink’. Create a 3D model using special software and bring your ideas into reality. See more information about 3D Printing

    MyCloud Personalized Computing Experience
