Branch History
What Garden Valley lacks in size, it compensates for in convenience and innovation. Garden Valley Branch opened in 1969 at 7006 Kinsman in the Garden Valley apartment building as part of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. In 1973, the library moved to the Community Services Building.
Today it’s one of the smallest branches at only 3,517 square feet. Located in the Bridgeport Place Plaza, the branch services an area that includes the largest number of children in Cleveland. This current facility opened in 2008.
