Unique artist's concept, depicts stage figures who have been decapitated by falling boxes. Figures are in various poses, no two alike. They are holding their heads in their hands. The skull-like faces portray varied stages of agony. Pieces are differentiated by chess symbols such as crown, mitre, horse's head, etc.

Purchased by the donor from the artist Aggie Zed, Clay St. (now at Carlson St.), Richmond, VA, 1982.
