in abstract design with patterned squares for white and circles in squares
for black fields, by Don Drum of Akron, OH, 1967.
Elegant, clearly defined abstract design in tubular and conical shapes,
made for the John G. White Collection of Chess by Mario Cooper, prominent
American artist of New York City. King wears a crown, Queen a coronet,
Bishop a hat. Knight is a horse, Rook is a round castle with four crenels
on the parapet. Pawns have conical hats.
